Position Overview:

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Hematology /Oncology to join a multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, NY. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to provide compassionate, specialized care to patients with blood disorders and cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
  • Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
  • Manage central lines, ports, and other vascular access devices.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side effect management, and supportive care resources.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and oncology nursing best practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Hematology/Oncology setting as a Registered Nurse.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, central line care, port access, management of oncology-related symptoms, and patient assessment. Knowledge of oncology protocols and safety standards.
  • Soft Skills: Compassionate bedside manner, excellent communication with patients and families, strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
