JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern is actively seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor, Zale Lipshy to join our Logistics team; to play a key role in supporting world-class patient care through efficient hospital/healthcare logistics operations. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong  supervisory experience in hospital/healthcare logistics, supply chain, and/or inventory control, who thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates strong leadership, mentorship, communication, and problem-solving skills.

As a Logistics Supervisor, Zale Lipshy Pavilion, you will oversee our facility's daily logistics, inventory, and equipment workflows at Zale Lipshy Pavilion. In this vital role, you will lead our dedicated logistics team, manage inventory control, and optimize distribution to ensure our clinical staff has exactly what they need to deliver exceptional patient care.

Work Location: Zale Lipshy Pavilion; occasional travel transport to satellite locations when needed.

Shift Requirement: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Required

  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree 
    Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements 
     
  • Experience
    2 years of experience in Logistics and 
    1 year of supervisory experience. 
     


JOB DUTIES

  • Supervises the day to day operations for the logistics department including staff, assets, external venders and other task essential to the logistics department.
  • Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets.
  • Acts as Liaison for the logistics department when resolving issues that arise within nursing units.
  • Proactively looks for ways to improve efficiency and reduce cost that are related to logistics within the hospital.
  • Manages payroll, time-off request, FMLA and other HR related issues within the logistics department.
  • Performs other tasks and duties that may temporarily arise within the hospital for other departments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
