Position Overview

Sunrise Care Consulting, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will work remotely from our Tallahassee, Florida location, providing essential mental health support to patients grappling with trauma-related challenges. The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, a valid LMHC license, and a minimum of three years of experience in the mental health field, particularly with trauma patients.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to deliver counseling services from the comfort of your own home. Your work schedule will align with a standard workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to understand individual needs and challenges.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to guide patients in overcoming trauma and related emotional disturbances.
  • Engage in regular follow-ups with patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Provide education on stress management and trauma coping techniques to both patients and staff, enhancing the overall understanding of mental health within our organization.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and social service agencies to facilitate additional support systems for patients.
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain certification as a National Certified Counselor and stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients who have faced significant emotional and psychological challenges. These individuals may come from various backgrounds and experiences, requiring personalized approaches to their care. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
  • A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working with trauma patients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster relationships with both patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience specifically dealing with trauma patients and relevant therapeutic techniques.
