Your Impact in This Role

This is a remarkable opportunity for a dedicated physician to become part of a busy, reputable practice, backed by a strong referral network and the extensive resources of a comprehensive health system.

  • Become a member of an established team of physicians with nurse practitioner support.
  • Call structure: 1 week every 3 weeks (averaging 1-2 phone calls per night).
  • Practice environment: A mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Access to Athena (clinic) and Sunrise Clinical Manager (inpatient) EMR, 10 exam rooms, specialized subspecialty clinics (pre-diabetes, metabolic bone, and lipid), along with robust triage nurse support.
  • This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Eligibility for state medical licensure and DEA registration is required.
  • Deliver high-quality endocrine care across outpatient, inpatient, and new patient populations, including hospital consultations and specialized clinics for pre-diabetes, lipid, or metabolic bone issues.
  • Work collaboratively with an experienced support team, including nurse practitioners and triage nurses, while having the flexibility to pursue personal interests in pediatric endocrinology.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology is mandatory.
About the Facility
  • A 197-bed pediatric facility, featuring 40 private inpatient beds, 8 short-stay beds, 23 PICU beds, 17 Pediatric ED beds, and a 109-bed Level IV NICU.
  • Designated as a trauma center (Pediatric Trauma services available on-site).
  • Serving a population of around 2 million in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area.
  • Integrated referral network comprising over 3,000 physicians across 22 ministries.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date is required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification is preferred. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) is required.
