Position Summary
The Health Information Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized patient health records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality and healthcare documentation standards. This role supports medical records operations through record management, reporting, document processing, and coordination with internal departments.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of health information management and medical records procedures
  • Familiarity with healthcare confidentiality standards and Medicare/Medicaid documentation requirements
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify incomplete or missing documentation
  • Proficiency in word processing and general office software applications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to review, classify, and maintain detailed records accurately
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 9 months of experience or coursework in records management preferred
