Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sr Director of Solution Implementation & Delivery in Austin to lead and scale our customer onboarding, platform integration, and solution rollout efforts across all payor and provider accounts. This role is critical to ensuring rapid, repeatable, and successful deployments of Autonomize AI's platform and AI copilots-tailored to complex healthcare environments.
The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare delivery leader with deep domain expertise in enterprise healthcare systems (e.g., EMRs, care management platforms, claims adjudication systems), experience managing cross-functional delivery teams, and an agile, hands-on mindset suited to a high-growth AI startup.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Delivery Leadership
  • Oversee all planning, execution and delivery of solutions using the Autonomize AI Platform across all enterprise customers (payors, providers, TPAs, MSOs).

  • Develop and enforce best practices and playbooks for technical delivery, integration, configuration, and customer onboarding.

  • Establish and optimize standardized delivery methodologies, including phased rollouts, pilots, and scaled deployments.

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality KPIs across all implementations.

Customer Success & Relationship Management
  • Act as the executive sponsor and delivery lead for key customer programs, maintaining close partnerships with client stakeholders (CIOs, CMIOs, VPs of Utilization Management, IT, Data Science).

  • Drive high customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention through seamless execution and value realization.

  • Ensure post-implementation support and transition plans are defined and executed collaboratively with the Customer Success team.

Team Management & Growth
  • Build and lead a high-performance delivery organization including implementation managers, solution engineers, clinical informatics leads, and partner delivery consultants.

  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a diverse team with strong healthcare technology, project management, and customer-facing skills.

  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the delivery team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to align delivery roadmaps with customer needs and platform capabilities.

  • Contribute to the platform roadmap and packaging by feeding real-world implementation feedback into product requirements.

  • Partner with Strategic Alliances and Business Development teams to support channel or partner-led implementations.

Delivery Operations & Metrics
  • Own delivery operations, including resource allocation, project tracking, risk management, and operational reporting.

  • Define and track key success metrics such as time-to-value, NPS, deployment velocity, and capacity utilization.

  • Establish governance frameworks for complex or multi-stakeholder programs across customer organizations.

Qualifications
Required
  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare technology delivery, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Forward-Deployed Engineering Leadership: Built and scaled hybrid technical+customer-facing teams; can recruit engineers comfortable in customer environments.
  • Complex Enterprise Deployments: Managed 30-90 day go-lives for AI/SaaS in regulated industries; experience with multi-system integration.
  • Healthcare Payer/Provider Expertise: Knows workflows in utilization management, care management, claims, and care quality.
  • Proven track record deploying enterprise healthcare platforms-such as Salesforce, HealthEdge, TriZetto, Epic, Health Catalyst, Casenet, or similar systems used for claims, care management, or clinical workflow integration in payer and provider environments.
  • Experience with AI, data platforms, or SaaS solutions in healthcare (e.g., NLP, ML, GenAI, or agent-based workflows).
  • Leadership in scaling delivery organizations-including hiring and managing implementation engineers, project managers, and solution teams; building repeatable processes and driving accountability across functions.
  • Strong technical acumen-comfortable with IT-facing products that require integration, configuration, and support for business users; ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams on implementation needs.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
  • Previous experience at a growth-stage SaaS or AI startup in the healthtech domain.
  • Technical Depth: Can oversee solution architecture, custom configurations, and AI model integration; understands APIs, data pipelines, and compliance constraints (HIPAA, SOC2).
  • Program Delivery Rigor: Expert in UAT, cutover planning, risk management, and value tracking post-go-live.
  • Customer Executive Engagement: Comfortable with C-suite stakeholders; can resolve delivery stalls and manage change.
  • Product Mindset: Feeds delivery learnings back into product; able to influence roadmap for scalability and speed.
  • Certifications in the areas of Cloud/Solution Architecture/PMP/Lean/Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience working with CMS-regulated programs (e.g., Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, ACA exchanges).
