Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are seeking a Health IT Informaticist I to support clinical informatics delivery as VA transitions to a modern EHR. This role conducts requirements gathering and analysis, information modeling, process documentation, and liaison tasks required to support the development of clinical informatics software and other clinical informatics project activities, working independently or under general direction. The position supports issue triage and resolution, data integrity and reporting, and clinical decision support activities as VHA stabilizes the Oracle Health Federal Electronic Health Record across live sites.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct requirements gathering and analysis in support of clinical informatics software development and clinical informatics project activities
  • Perform information modeling and process documentation for systems used in the capture or standardization of health and clinical information
  • Serve as liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams to translate operational need into documented requirements
  • Support identification, analysis, and resolution of clinical workflow, configuration, safety, interoperability, and data-quality issues related to Oracle Health system use
  • Support user acceptance testing, including test artifact development and defect documentation
  • Contribute to data quality management by reviewing and remediating data errors or integrity issues affecting reporting and patient safety
  • Support reporting and analytics requirements, including metric development and report validation for PGL Operations
  • Support evaluation, refinement, and maintenance of clinical decision support content and terminology updates
  • Develop and maintain artifacts and documentation supporting informatics deliverables
  • Support issue management through the Tiered Hub process, tracking and troubleshooting user-reported issues and New Service Requests
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; six (6) additional years of specialized experience may substitute for candidates with work experience but not college training
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience, of which at least three (3) must be specialized
  • Specialized experience with requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, and artifact development or documentation of systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or other data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction
  • Experience with information modeling and process documentation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Office 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI at an expert level
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Low/NACI background investigation.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium in a clinical or analyst capacit
  • Experience supporting VHA or other federal health informatics program
  • Familiarity with clinical decision support, terminology management, or interoperability standards
  • Clinical background or clinical informatics certification

The posted salary range is the company’s good-faith estimate for this role. PFS benefits and compensation are determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location; the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract and organizational requirements.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000
