A Brief Overview
Participates in a planned research projects by carrying out research experiments in accordance with established protocol(s) and under direct supervision. Remote position, 10 hours per week, will run through June/July of 2025.
What you will do

  • Determines requirements for research software projects and chooses optimal code base for development.
  • Maintains and regularly updates shared code repository instance such as GitHub, etc.
  • Performs QA on base functionality as well as edge cases.
  • Works within larger software development and research team.
  • Manages all code, documentation, and issues.
  • Seeks to advance student-level project into larger departmental or research project initiatives.
  • Attends seminars/lab meetings to expand their knowledge of biomedical domains & informatics techniques.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Currently enrolled in Nursing Master's or PhD program Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Prior internships or paid experience in a research informatics environment. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in an organized fashion, work well with others.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications desirable.
  • Familiarity with coding in at least one language.
