Position Summary:
Join our respected weight loss and nutrition clinic in as a Health Coach Assistant—a vital team member supporting patients on their journey to better health. In this role, you'll help perform key clinical assessments, including body composition and metabolism testing, while also assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and managing prior authorizations. We’re looking for someone who is professional, dependable, and passionate about helping others. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in health coaching, nutrition, and patient care.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform body composition and resting metabolic rate (RMR) testing 
  • Take accurate weight and blood pressure measurements
  • Enter and manage patient information using electronic medical records and tracking software
  • Answer phone calls professionally, and assist with scheduling and patient communication
  • Support the team with clerical tasks and prior authorization processes
  • Assist with program development and implementation
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication
  • Ensure punctuality and reliability in all responsibilities


For high-performing individuals, there will be opportunities to be promoted to a health coach position which responsibilities include one-on-one patient interactions, helping patients set and reach goals related to nutrition, physical activity, and behavior change.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as Exercise Science, Public Health, Nutrition, Health Promotion, or a related discipline
  • Strong foundational knowledge in general health topics, especially nutrition, physical activity, and behavior change
  • Interest or experience in health coaching and/or motivational interviewing
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • *Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a useful, but not required*
