Qualifications:


  • Required background in social services, community, or education
  • Experience in community and family engagement
  • Excellent communication skills, including maintaining confidentiality
  • Facilitation skills for workshops and meetings
  • Proficient in data collection, recordkeeping, reporting skills, and computer skills
  • Working knowledge of DeKalb County resources
  • Time management skills
  • Travel for outreach, training, and networking events
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Possess empathy for, and a strengths-based attitude about, children and families
  • Work within a trauma-informed framework with cultural competence
  • Submit to and pass a Criminal History Record Information fingerprint check


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of IRIS (the local support network and inter-agency referral system), including monitoring incoming, outgoing, and intra-agency referrals
  • Engage with community partners that support families and children who are seeking community services.
  • Follow up with community partners or clients to ensure connection to services
  • Develop positive relationships, serving as a resource for schools, families, and agencies
  • Recruit organizations to become part of IRIS
  • Provide technical support to users of IRIS
  • Represent the ROE at Outreach Events
  • Use information technology and other means to map and keep up-to-date about the current availability of services and supports
  • Work with multiple ROE teams to coordinate services
  • Provide data for program evaluation
  • Continuously learn and build skills by participating in conferences, workshops, and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
