As part of our newly established athletic department, we are introducing men's basketball and are looking for a Head Coach who is ready to lead, innovate, and create a program that reflects our values and vision for student success.The Head Coach serves as a key leader and strategic visionary within the Baker College Athletic Department, responsible for building and sustaining a premier intercollegiate basketball program. This role oversees all aspects of program development, including training, competition strategy, recruiting, and operations, while ensuring full compliance with NAIA and WHAC regulations. As both a mentor and ambassador for Baker College, the Head Coach fosters a culture of excellence, integrity, sportsmanship, and inclusion, supporting the academic, athletic, and personal success of student-athletes. Responsibilities include recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, supervising and developing coaching staff, managing budgets and program operations, coordinating team logistics, and engaging in ongoing professional development while representing the College with professionalism.Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. The role recommends 3–5 years of collegiate coaching experience with increasing levels of responsibility and, ideally, familiarity with NAIA or NCAA recruitment and eligibility standards. Applicants should have a proven record of effective coaching, student-athlete development, and budget management.
