Job description

Reports to: Principal/Athletic Director(s)

Supervises:None

Salary: Based on State Salary Schedule

Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in the field. Leadership skills. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed for the position. Individuals must attend necessary coaching clinics and comply with the rules of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. 

Maintain a constant check on students' grades and conduct 

Recruit within the school, train, and coach the team 

Coordinate the development and promotion of the softball program 

Organize and schedule practices 

Communicate with the Athletic Director and Principal

Maintain and secure all equipment 

Turn in all paperwork required by NCHSAA and the Athletic Director 

Complete all required courses of the NCHSAA 

Hold a parent meeting before the season 

Represent Anson County Schools in a professional manner 

JOB GOALS: 

To provide leadership in helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem while instructing student participants in Softball.

NOTE:  THIS IS A COACH ONLY POSITION WITH A POSSIBLE TEACHING POSITION IF AVAILABLE AND LICENSED
