POSITION DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE
As a lead member of the Gilson North Ave. press team, a Head Pressman is responsible for the set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance of the Man Roland 6/c – color printing press to consistently meet or exceed production requirements.
SUPERVISOR
Position reports to the Gilson - North Ave. Director of Operations
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must effectively lead and direct press crew(s) by fostering an environment of accountability, continuous improvement, and efficiency
• Must be able to review job tickets for accuracy
REQUIREMENTS
• To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each role and perform each responsibility listed above
• Must possess intimate knowledge of customer requirements, standard practices, required materials, techniques, and processes
• Must be able to bend and lift 25 lbs.
• Must perform other related duties as required
Education and Training Requirements
• High School degree or above, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Participation in a variety of professional training programs
Experience
• Prior head pressman experience
• Press room supervisory experience preferred

• Motivated as a self-starter
• High degree of detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated commitment to quality
