Job description

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Based in New York, NY, reporting to the Head of Securities Lending, the Director of Trading Platform Strategy & Business Management serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Securities Lending leadership team, with primary responsibility for supporting Schwab's stock borrow business and trading organization. As demand for long/short investing solutions continues to grow, the stock borrow franchise has become an increasingly important component of the Securities Lending business, requiring dedicated leadership focus to support growth, scalability, execution, and platform evolution. This role sits at the intersection of trading, operations, data & analytics, technology, product, and business management, helping translate business objectives into actionable initiatives, operating improvements, technology investments, and measurable business outcomes.

What you have
  • A university degree from a well-respected academic institution; advanced degrees in Information management, Computer Science, Business Administration and/or other professional certifications are a plus
  • 8 + years of experience in systems development life cycle working for an investment management firm including the ability to define and document specifications with the following:
