Job description

Job Summary:

The warehouse QA Tech will complete monitoring warehouse adherence to SOPs, HACCP plan, SSOPs, GMPs, and other relevant plans, programs, and work instructions. Abides by and ensures all safety and quality protocols.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Monitoring the manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and requirements specified within SOPs, and the HACCP program resulting in quick, strong decisions during operations.
  2. Responsible for pre-operative and operative facility inspection.
  3. Inspecting and calibrating measuring instruments.
  4. Working collaboratively with production department to enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols for Safe Food Distribution
  5. Conduct daily internal GMP and warehouse inspections to assure product food safety and quality.
  6.  Verify adherence to procedures; monitor and verify process controls, sanitation, and GMP practices.
  7. Assist Quality Manager/Supervisor in conducting Food Safety / Sanitation audits and communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  8. Involve in preparation and execution of customer / third party/Regulatory audits.
  9. Isolate and put on "HOLD" any material, product, ingredient, or packaging material, which might pose a food safety, risk, or otherwise compromise product quality or integrity.
  10. Conduct monthly Listeria swabbing in rotating areas of the facility to be sent to laboratory for testing.
  11. Conduct sanitation verification program using ATP luciferase unit for regular sanitation verification as per assignment
  12. Conduct weekly APC swab, prepare the swab samples, and send samples to head office for test
  13. Check and report the inventory of all materials needed for food safety test materials, cleaning, and sanitizing chemicals (ATP, APC swabs, Listeria swabs, thermometers, cleaning & sanitizing chemicals), and all PPEs every week as per assignment
  14. Conduct any other related functions as per instruction from the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 0 – 12 months of relevant experience.
  3. Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and Outlook knowledge.
  4. Skills and abilities: This individual must be able to operate with limited supervision, be attentive to detail, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.  This individual must be highly motivated and take initiative.  Will be required to perform hands-on tasks when necessary and demonstrate key leadership skills, such as a positive attitude, encouraging approach, strong work ethic, goal-oriented and decisive nature, and a willingness to take responsibility for actions and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Record keeping, documentations, and document control
  2. Bi-lingual (Spanish). Be flexible and react favorably to multiple priorities, changing schedules, and daily assignments. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and focus on action

Working Conditions:

  1. Able to lift bulky objects. Minimum of 25lb to 40lb and up to 70lb occasionally. Stand 30%; walk 50%; sit 20% of the time.
  2. Temperatures can be as low as 35 degrees in some areas.
  3. Noise level is moderate.
