Position: Operations Research Analyst (Counterintelligence)
Location: Bldg. 852, Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433
Schedule: Work schedule is normally M-F 0730-1630 however, there may be times when it is necessary for the contractor to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week.
Position Description:
To function as an expert in the field of risk analysis to support AFRL and the RISC mission. The position is designed to perform security reviews and produce written and oral reports identifying risk and briefing to AFRL, USAF, and DoD entities.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • The contractor shall have two- or four-year degree in Intelligence Analysis, National Security, Global Security, or National/Strategic Defense studies.
  • The contractor shall have 5 years' demonstrated knowledge and experience in of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as security-related R&D threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD and other US resources. Knowledge of risk management and security policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the national security, IC, DoD, and USAF. An exception to the education requirement may be considered if the experience level warrants; greater than 10 years' experience performing military intelligence analysis tasks OR greater than 10 years performing counterintelligence tasks.
  • The contractor shall have demonstrated knowledge and experience of the full range of security research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source information to produce detailed security capabilities and risk assessments, identify security deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements. With the ability to present the information verbally or orally when such information is requested.
  • The contractor shall have demonstrated knowledge and experience in producing finished security reports and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of customers to include formulating and conducting original research; collating, organizing, and analyzing information; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings.
  • The contractor shall have demonstrated knowledge and experience in handling, storing and disseminating classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures.
  • The contractor shall have demonstrated knowledge and experience in quickly assimilating disparate data and render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implications of such data; to make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment, experience and recognized professional standing; and to present and argue for a position effectively.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent shall have a current TOP SECRET (TS) clearance or had a previous TS with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Five to 10 years' prior military (active duty, National Guard, Reserve), law enforcement, or counterintelligence experience.
  • Five to 10 years' prior military intelligence analysis experience.

Responsibilities:
  • The contractor shall prepare and provide reports, analyses, and recommendations.
  • The contractor shall coordinate with stakeholders to schedule necessary meetings, and present review findings and assessments verbally.
  • The contractor shall support compilation and analysis of data, authoring tools and references.
  • The contractor shall conduct risk-based security reviews on non-U.S. Government personnel who are to enter into a collaboration or agreement with U.S. Government S&Es, using methods, techniques, and practices used to identify and analyze multi-source information to produce detailed security assessments.
  • The contractor shall produce finished security reports and other products responsive to the needs of the customers.
  • The contractor shall complete all training requirements necessary to be able to support the position. The training may include OPSEC, classification measures, use of Government-furnished equipment, etc.
  • The contractor shall employ skills in handling, storing, and transporting sensitive and classified information in accordance with established DoD procedures.
