Responsibilities

What you will be doing

We’re looking for a Head of Risk (PCF‑14) based in our Dublin office to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Ramp Ireland (Swaps) Ltd.’s risk management framework. This is a senior leadership role within the second line of defence, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The role will collaborate extensively with a wide range of teams across the business, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, Commercial, and Technology.

Risk Management Framework

Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise‑wide risk management framework that identifies, measures, manages, and monitors all types of risk, including market, operational, and liquidity risks. Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and global best practices in risk governance. Lead the development and delivery of the enterprise‑wide annual risk assessment, including scenario analysis and stress testing.

Policy Oversight and Governance

Review and approve all risk management policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, including CBI requirements for PCF‑14 functions. Provide risk expertise and guidance to senior leadership and the Board, including preparation of regular management information (“MI”) and reports for governance forums.

Monitoring and Reporting

Develop and oversee a risk monitoring programme and carry out periodic risk reviews and testing to ensure that employees and third parties meet the required standards in respect of applicable legislation and internal controls. Ensuring timely identification and mitigation of emerging risks. Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to the Board of Directors, Risk Committee, and external stakeholders as required.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with the Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure robust alignment between risk management and regulatory compliance objectives. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote a culture of proactive risk awareness and risk‑informed decision‑making. Provide regular training and support in the area of risk management to the organisation.

Regulatory Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) on all risk management matters, ensuring effective communication and transparency. Lead regulatory reviews and audits relating to the company’s risk management practices.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in enterprise risk management in financial services, fintech, or crypto asset firms.
  • Proven track record of operating at a senior level within a second‑line risk function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as PRMIA PRM, GARP FRM, or equivalent.
  • In‑depth understanding of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, including requirements set by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
  • Familiarity with virtual asset service provider (VASP) regulations and risk considerations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience engaging with Boards and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and crypto, with a forward‑looking mindset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Benefits

Our toolkit: Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, and other leading platforms.

Competitive salary.

Equity package: share in our success.

Development & Wellbeing
  • 28+ days holidays.
  • Health insurance.
  • Dedicated time off for yearly health check‑ups.
  • Self‑development and conference budget.
  • Internal workshops and activities supporting growth and mental health.
Great Working Environment

Modern and comfy office in Dublin. Hybrid working (we expect you to come in 3 days a week). The best laptops and kit to work on. Internal Tech meetups on‑site & online. Team socials funded by us.

Our Culture

We are fueled by a strong sense of community, purpose, and the drive to build a sustainable business. Together, we nurture a culture of high performance, low egos, receptive minds, and collaboration. We provide space for ambition, trust and empowerment to allow you to be your best self. Our culture has been founder‑driven from the start, it is defined by our shared values and behaviours, which are distinctly Ramp Network and represent the organisation that we have built. This is our recipe for success that we all believe in…this is how we will win!

Diversity and Inclusivity Statement

At Ramp Network, inclusivity and equality are core to our mission, and we strive to embed these values in every aspect of our operations. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters innovation, collaboration, and success. One of our core values, Radically Inclusive, is enacted daily. We create a space of belonging and support, fostering a tightly‑knit team that embraces diversity in all its forms. Being different isn’t just welcomed; it unites us and gives us our edge. We give space for all peculiarities, nerdiness, and quirkiness! We are proud of the progress we have made as a fast‑growing start‑up, but we recognize that our journey is ongoing. We look forward to evolving our diversity, equity, and inclusion practices further in 2025 and beyond, creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
