Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of User Acquisition based in Netherlands.

As Head of User Acquisition, you will lead and scale the paid acquisition strategy for a high-growth direct-to-consumer subscription product. This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of performance marketing, budget allocation, and team management across multiple paid channels. You will develop scalable acquisition systems, optimize campaign profitability, and expand into new markets and channels to drive sustainable growth. Working closely with product, creative, and analytics teams, you will ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous performance improvement. This fully remote opportunity offers significant ownership, the ability to shape long-term acquisition strategy, and strong career growth within a fast-paced international environment.

Accountabilities
  • Define and execute the overall user acquisition strategy across major paid marketing platforms, including Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and other relevant channels.
  • Build scalable operational frameworks, standard operating procedures, testing methodologies, reporting systems, and performance metrics to support sustainable growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of User Acquisition Managers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Manage significant paid media budgets while maintaining efficient customer acquisition costs, maximizing return on ad spend, and ensuring profitable growth.
  • Develop acquisition strategies based on key business metrics such as lifetime value, customer acquisition cost, retention, onboarding conversion, and average revenue per user.
  • Partner with analytics teams to strengthen attribution models, reporting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Own experimentation initiatives, including A/B testing, creative optimization, channel diversification, and international market expansion.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, creative, and business leadership to align acquisition efforts with broader commercial objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising platforms, technology partners, and external vendors to maximize performance opportunities.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in performance marketing, with significant expertise managing user acquisition for direct-to-consumer subscription products.
  • Proven success managing large-scale paid acquisition campaigns across multiple digital advertising platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing substantial marketing budgets with full accountability for performance, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Strong background in designing scalable marketing processes, operational systems, reporting structures, and testing frameworks.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing user acquisition teams.
  • Deep knowledge of paid social, search, and display advertising ecosystems, including Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and similar platforms.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or comparable business intelligence solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional environment.
  • A highly structured, results-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach to solving complex performance marketing challenges.
Benefits
  • Fully remote working environment with flexibility to work from eligible locations.
  • Unlimited paid time off to support work-life balance and personal wellbeing.
  • Paid national holidays.
  • Company-provided MacBook for eligible employees.
  • Flexible independent contractor agreement offering autonomy and location flexibility.
  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing international business with strong professional development and career progression opportunities.
  • High-impact leadership role with significant ownership and exposure to strategic business decisions.
