F45 Training - Group Fitness Head Trainer

F45 Training is a global fitness community delivering 45-minute, high-intensity, functional training workouts designed for all fitness levels. Led by certified coaches, sessions combine circuit training, functional movement, and team-based energy to create effective and engaging workouts. With a strong focus on community, innovation, and results, F45 helps members improve strength, endurance, and overall fitness in a supportive and motivating environment.

As an F45 Head Trainer, you are responsible for leading coaching standards, trainer development, and overall member experience within the studio. You will set the tone for performance, culture, and coaching excellence while supporting studio leadership in driving membership growth, retention, and community engagement. This role is ideal for experienced boutique fitness professionals who thrive in leadership, content creation, sales support, and team development within a fast-paced, community-driven environment.

This is a hybrid leadership role combining in-studio coaching and remote administrative responsibilities. Head Trainer must be in the studio for a minimum of 18-20 coaching hours weekly, while supporting team leadership, studio maintenance, and daily operations. Administrative tasks may be completed remotely when appropriate. Occasional off-site events, community activations, and marketing initiatives are also required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-energy F45 workouts while setting and maintaining coaching quality standards
  • Provide advanced coaching, movement correction, and injury prevention
  • Conduct member consultations and support retention through engagement and accountability
  • Mentor, onboard, and develop coaching staff through training, audits, and performance feedback
  • Ensure trainers meet Apex Wellness Group and F45 brand standards
  • Manage trainer participation in marketing and content initiatives
  • Promote and support in-studio membership sales
  • Create and appear in studio social media content while coordinating trainer participation
  • Support marketing campaigns and studio brand presence
  • Partner with Sales Consultants to drive membership growth and retention
  • Execute local outreach, partnerships, and community events
  • Represent the studio at promotional and brand activations
  • Maintain studio coaching, operational, and presentation standards
  • Support scheduling, class coverage, and equipment organization
  • Participate in studio cleaning, maintenance, and facility upkeep
  • Provide administrative support including communication and inbox management

Qualifications

  • Boutique fitness coaching experience is required
  • Previous leadership or senior coaching experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of functional training and HIIT programming
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and trainer mentorship abilities
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and member engagement skills
  • MindBody experience is strongly preferred

Certifications

  • Must hold and maintain a current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Must hold a nationally accredited fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, PTA Global, AFAA, ISSA, or equivalent) required
  • F45 coaching experience is a strong bonus
