Morning Swim Instructor – Head Start Program (Seasonal)


Position Type: Seasonal, Part-Time


Program Schedule

Fall Session: September 28 – November 13
Spring Session: March 1 – May 7
Work Days: Tuesday – Friday
Hours: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM


Position Summary

High 5 Aquatics is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Swim Instructors to teach water safety and beginner swim skills to preschool-aged children participating in our Head Start Program. Instructors will create a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment while helping children develop confidence and comfort in the water.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Teach age-appropriate swim lessons using the High 5 curriculum.
  • Promote water safety through positive, engaging instruction.
  • Maintain active supervision of all participants at all times.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to teach each class.
  • Set up and put away lesson equipment.
  • Follow all High 5 safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors and program staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 16 years old.
  • Experience working with young children preferred.
  • Swim Instructor certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
  • Comfortable working in the water for the duration of each shift.
