Job description

Job Title: Cleaner I 

Job Type: Full Time 

Reports to: Property Manager 

Location: Seasons of Layton and The Clara by Seasons

Job Summary: 

The role of Cleaner is paramount in upholding the visual appeal and ambiance of our properties. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the property. Your duties encompass the visual and tidiness aspects, ensuring they consistently meet our stringent requirements. We are looking for motivated individuals who can get the job done.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, cleaning light fixtures, trash removal, and eliminating dirt and grime in all shared areas. These areas encompass but are not limited to the clubhouse, fitness room, office spaces, bathrooms, theater room, game room, apartment models, pool area (including the grill patio space), pet boutique, and any other communal areas. 

  • Execute deep cleaning of apartments following tenant move-outs to prepare them for new occupants. Company policy mandates that all turnovers be completed within four days of vacancy. This entails vacuuming, cleaning vinyl floors and other surfaces, appliances, bathroom, and addressing any other residual messes.  

  • Report any instances of misuse or violation of community rules and regulations, including abuse of individual apartments.  

  • Maintain a professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful attitude with the residents and fellow employees. 

  • Take proactive measures to enhance the exterior appearance of the property and buildings as needed or at the request of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. Remain vigilant for any potential preventative maintenance issues.  

  • Aid at sister properties as required 

  • Take initiative to elevate and sustain overall cleanliness 

  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned 

Experience and Education: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • 0-1 years of previous cleaning experience preferred 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods 

  • Able to twist, bend, stoop, walk and reach above your head to accomplish needed tasks 

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. 

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, wind, and snow 

  • Maintain good physical hygiene and always present a clean and professional image
