Introduction
The Division of Parks and Recreation operates and maintains 17 state parks and related preserves and greenways throughout Delaware. The state's land protection programs are also administered by the Division. The Division is additionally responsible for providing recreational opportunities and educational and interpretive programs for the public. \r\n\r\n\r\nClick here for more information about Delaware State Parks.\r\n
Summary Statement
The Division of Parks & Recreation owns/maintains over 40 tenant houses statewide. This year-round position will be responsible for the tracking and execution of building maintenance for 24 units throughout the northern portion of the state. \r\n
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. \r\n\r\n\r\nPerforms repairs and upgrades to rental units within the northern region. \r\nPerforms regularly scheduled preventative maintenance within intern housing units. \r\nAssists Housing Administrator with annual housing inspections. \r\nAssists Housing Administrator with maintaining current lists for tasks to be completed for each unit. \r\nActs as liaison between Housing Administrator and contractors to ensure contracted work is completed in a timely manner and meets the Division's standard. \r\nMust be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills. \r\nMaintain a positive attitude. \r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n
