Job description

Assistant Baseball Coach
Alta High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill an Assistant Head Baseball Coach. We are looking for a strong leader who is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field while building a positive and competitive program culture.
The Assistant Baseball Coach will oversee all aspects of the baseball program, including player development, practices, game management, program organization, and communication with students, families, and administration.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise all aspects of the baseball program
  • Plan and conduct practices, conditioning, and competitions
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic success
  • Develop athletes' baseball skills and game knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, staff, and administration
  • Ensure compliance with district and athletic policies and procedures
  • Coordinate assistant coaches and program operations
  • Maintain equipment and program inventory

Preferred Skills:
  • Two (2) years of baseball coaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience as an assistant coach or head coach of a high school aged team is required.
  • Competitive playing experience beyond high school is preferred.
  • Candidate must complete 3 required UHSAA courses, new hire paperwork, and completion of Register my athlete/coaches account within 2 weeks of hire and before you can begin coaching duties.
