HCC Coders often encounter challenges such as interpreting complex medical records, staying current with changing coding guidelines, and ensuring accurate documentation to maximize risk adjustment scores. Leveraging coding software and auditing processes can also help maintain accuracy and compliance in daily work.

What is an HCC coder?
