Job Summary and Qualifications 


The Central Sterile Technician is responsible forproper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments.  


What you will do in this role: 


  • You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing, and storing procedures.  


  • You will understandthe principlesof sterilization techniques and operate sterilization equipment.  


  • You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.  


  • You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.  


  • You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange.  


  • You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.  


What qualifications you will need: 


  • Cert Sterile Proc/DistribTech, or Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), or Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred
