An HCA PCT (Patient Care Technician) is a healthcare professional who assists nurses and medical staff in providing patient care. Their duties often include monitoring vital signs, helping with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort. They may also perform basic medical procedures such as drawing blood or inserting catheters. PCTs typically work in hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.

What are typical daily responsibilities for an HCA PCT in a hospital setting?

As an HCA PCT in a hospital, your daily responsibilities typically include assisting patients with bathing, dressing, and mobility, monitoring and recording vital signs, and supporting nurses with various clinical tasks. You may also help transport patients, prepare rooms for new admissions, and ensure a clean and safe environment. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals is common, so strong communication and teamwork are important.
