RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs personal care and patient-specific activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living, including but not limited to:
  • Help with patients personal hygiene care
  • Assist with dressing/undressing
  • Prepare meals and food safety monitoring
  • Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
  • Performs light housekeeping activities
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
QUALIFICATIONS
  • HCA/PSW certified or equivalent (previous experience as a private caregiver will be considered)
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team
  • A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Valid CPR & First Aid an asset
  • Must have access to use of a vehicle
  • Business insurance will be needed
