Hiring Experienced HCA in Monterey Bay Area

About the Role:

Right at Home Monterey Bay is seeking experienced Home Care Assistants (HCAs) to join our team of caregivers in the Capitola, California area. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and vulnerable adults by providing compassionate care and support in their homes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for performing personal care activities that assist clients with activities of daily living, including:

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20% performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork

Payrate:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
