Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT Group) is actively partnering with experienced CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Owner Operators in the Gary, Indiana market for our growing Propane & Butane Division.

What You'll Do
  • Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075)
  • Operate throughout Indiana and surrounding regional service areas
  • Load product from terminals including:
    • Griffith, IN
    • Danville, IN
    • Lebanon, IN
    • Monee, IL
  • Deliver safely to commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers
  • Operate pumps, hoses, valves, and tanker equipment
  • Complete inspections and maintain DOT compliance
  • Maintain ELDs and Hours of Service records
  • Represent DHT professionally with customers and the public
Schedule
  • Regional/OTR operation based from the Gary, Indiana area
  • Typical schedule: 5 days out / 2 days home
  • One weekend day availability required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement required
  • Tanker (N) endorsement required (Drivers holding the combined X endorsement are encouraged to apply.)
  • Minimum two years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to safely work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to safely handle hoses, valves, pumping equipment, and required PPE
  • Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and safety
Equipment Requirements
  • DOT-compliant tractor
  • Must pass DHT equipment inspection before sign-on
  • Electronic Logging Device (ELD) required
  • Hydrapak/wet kit required to power trailer hydraulic offloading equipment
  • Current registration and insurance
  • Ability to maintain DOT compliance standards at all times
