As a DC Utility Attendant at Ulta Beauty, you will provide a wide range of maintenance functions for the facility, including cleaning/maintaining grounds, parking lots, and building facilities; completing work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents; and operating material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other powered equipment. As we continue to define the next generation of distribution, your expertise will be critical to the overall functioning of our facility, ensuring cleanliness, various efficiencies, safety, and performance.

You will accomplish your goals by providing:

  • Interior trash support: trash pickup process in all departments
  • Recycling support, to include:
    • Shrink wrap process for each operational area, including making and storing bales and loading recycler’s trailer
    • Performing slip sheet pickup for each area
    • Some recyclable pickup and process from break rooms. (some this is handled by the janitorial team)
    • Some HAZMAT disposal, including:
      • Collecting HAZMAT items as requested, packages and prepares for pickup by waste hauler
      • Notifying maintenance supervisor when shipment levels are reached
      • Used oil management including oil filters
      • And related tasks
    • Battery maintenance support, to include:
      • Battery Changes: inspection and watering, battery washing and equalization
      • Reviewing reports (verification of low runtime batteries, verification of battery/charger order)
      • Battery preparation for scrap/hazardous waste disposal
      • Palletizing spent batteries, removing watering system, shrink wraps and labels and preparing for shipping
      • And related tasks
    • Part cage support, to include:
      • Cycle counting of critical spare parts
      • Opening WOs
      • Issuing parts
      • Receiving parts
      • Reconciling consumables
    • Housekeeping/clean-up support, to include:
      • Trash pickup on exterior/front entrance
      • Spill cleanup, spill tote and trash can cleaning and spill tote distribution
      • Spill cart maintenance and replenishment
    • Preventative maintenance or project support, to include:
      • Fire extinguisher checks and replacement/refill process
      • Eye wash inspection process, portable eye wash station PM, and fixed eye wash verification testing
      • Restocking office supplies and break rooms
      • Wash-bay maintenance
      • Floor striping—paint maintenance and re-coats and Painting of new areas
      • Facility painting – all interior spaces or Ongoing maintenance and special requests
      • Rack inspections and repairs, to include:
        • PMs for rack inspection
        • Replacement of damaged load beams
        • Replacement of damaged uprights
      • Providing support for celebrations, mass interview set-up, blood drives, etc., to include:
        • Moving large amounts of chairs, tables etc. to support building meetings, special events
        • Setting up special interview areas during mass hiring
      • Printer maintenance

Qualified candidates will be high school graduates (or equivalent) or possess an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Additional requirements include:

  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience with equipment safety procedures
  • An ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • A basic ability to understand written/oral instructions in English
  • The ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately and to work overtime, as needed
  • The capability of driving powered equipment
  • Flexibility with daily task assignments
  • Applying safe lifting techniques for lifting and carrying necessary materials and equipment, to include:
    • The ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently
    • The ability to lift, bend, stand and walk 8 hours a day
    • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
