Job description

Warehouse And Shipping/Receiving Support

The shift schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Highest level of education required is a high school diploma. Must reside within 50 miles of the Galesburg Location Forklift required 20% of the day Shipping and Receiving Support: Support Shipping and Receiving activities by preparing and processing parcel and freight shipments, loading and unloading trucks, receiving shipments in shipment tracking tool, and distributing shipments as assigned. May perform all shipping and receiving duties for Hazardous Materials. Provide support to the warranty and shipping/receiving team by organizing and moving (manual and by use of gas/electric operated forklift) material in the area and on the campus. Warranty Return Center Support: Perform basic inspection and testing of failed transmission and clutch components and units that have been returned to the Warranty Return Center; documenting the inspection results in the Eaton Warranty system. Prepare units for inspection by performing all setup duties and completing routine documentation; complete visual inspections; and perform all duties to disposition units. Assemble and load boxes for outgoing shipments on failed components. Perform housekeeping duties daily for the entire area. Assist with organization, sorting and maintenance of short-term stored items. Perform an array of tasks and duties as assigned by the team supervisor.

Requirements: Self-motivated, reliable, and goal oriented individual Ability to collaborate with others and effectively manage time Individual will be expected to meet cycle time and goals for assigned workstreams Ability to achieve Forklift license (Eaton to provide training and certification) Ability to achieve Hazardous Material Transportation certification (training to be provided by Eaton) Basic computer skills – including Microsoft Office Ability to use hand tools and air tools to disassemble/reassemble transmissions/clutches, boxes, and other misc items. Organized, clean, and safety focused (will require individual to perform daily housekeeping to meet the Campus expectation) Start work at 8:00 am. End day at 4:30 pm to complete an 8-hour shift. Mandatory Overtime may be required. Follow all Bartech and Eaton policies, procedures and work instructions. Physical demands: May require light back support belt on occasion. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on feet for the entire shift. Requires worker to supply safety shoes, back support, and safety glasses (if prescription)
