Tour Guide: Event Planning
 Waterloo IA
Duties
: Coordinates and plans all factory tours. Prepares tour guide work schedules ensuring appropriate number of tour guides are available for scheduled tours. Compiles data necessary to prepare files or create standard and special reports using defined formats. Performs office administrative duties including correspondence, invoicing, filing, bill payment, and reporting. Acts as the Company representative during factory tours and events. Trains tour guides on tour routes and appropriate information to provide guests.
 
Job Type: Part-time, Variable up to 12 hours per week. Hours will vary between 7:30 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday depending on tour schedule.
 
 Key Responsibilities: • Conduct guided tours for visitors, including customers, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring informative and engaging experiences. • Provide detailed explanations of the facilities' operations and history. • Answer visitor questions accurately and professionally. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, history, and contributions to the industry. • Represent John Deere's brand and values accurately and professionally at all times. Qualifications: • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Proven experience in a public speaking role or as a tour guide is preferred. • Ability to interact positively with a wide range of individuals. • Passionate about history, technology, and education. • Capable of walking and standing for extended periods. • Multilingual skills are a plus.
