Shift / Schedule:Primarily 1st shift, with flexible availabilityrequiredbased on the harvest schedule, operational needs, and schedule changes.
Travel Requirements:Local travel between farms, transportation partners, and Farmer Focus facilities as needed.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Live Haul Manageris responsible forcoordinating the safe,timely, and efficient movement of birds from growers to FarmerFocusprocessing operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between third-party haulers, growers, and Farmer Focus, ensuring harvest schedules, communication, scale house operations, and transportation activities are aligned with production needs, animal welfare expectations, safety standards, and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key liaison between third-party haulers, growers, Farmer Focus Live Operations, plant operations, and other internal partners to supporttimelyand effective live haul execution.

  • Create, update, andmaintainthe weekly harvest schedule, adjusting as needed for flock readiness, processing needs, grower coordination, transportation availability, weather, and operational changes.

  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, issues, and other operational updates ina timelyand professional manner to growers, haulers, scale house team members, Live Operations, and plant stakeholders.

  • Manage daily scale house operations and directly supervise the scale house team of three employees, including scheduling, coaching, performance expectations, training, and accountability.

  • Monitor live haul execution to support safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of birds while minimizing disruptions to growers, haulers, and processing operations.

  • Maintain responsibility for company owned equipment such as baskets and other items related to the Live haul process.

  • Partner with third-party haulers to address route execution, timing, equipment concerns, communication gaps, and service-level expectations.

  • Support compliance with company policies, animal welfare expectations, safety requirements, transportation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Identifyand escalate operational risks, schedule conflicts, grower concerns, equipment issues, or transportation challenges, and help drivetimelyresolution.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords, reports, and communication related to harvest scheduling, scale house activity, live haul performance, and operational changes.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, communication, respect, and continuous improvement across live haul and scale house activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Compensation:$80,000 - $90,000 annually

The posted compensation range for this role reflectsthe minimum andmaximumamount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fleet haul management, transportation coordination, live haul,logistics, agriculture, or a closely related operational environmentrequired.

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experiencerequired, including the ability to coach, schedule, train, and hold team members accountable.

  • Understanding ofpoultry operations, live production, animal welfare expectations, or agricultural supply chain operations preferred.

  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to coordinate effectively with growers, third-party haulers, internal operations teams, and plant stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build andmaintainschedules, manage changing priorities, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability tomaintainaccuraterecords, reports, and operational communication.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn scheduling, reporting, scalehouse, or transportation-related systems.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This role is primarily performed on-site in an office, scale house, transportation, farm, and processing support environment. The Live Haul Manager must be able toworka flexible schedule based on the harvest schedule and operational needs, including early mornings, schedule changes, extended hours, and occasional weekend or holiday support as needed. Local travel to farms, grower locations, hauler locations, and Farmer Focus facilities may berequired. The role may require time in outdoor, farm, live haul, and production-adjacent environments where weather conditions, vehicle traffic, noise, biosecurity expectations, PPE requirements, and changing operational priorities may be present.
