Job description

About the Role:

The Stock Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the efficient operation of warehouse and storeroom environments by managing inventory and ensuring that stock is accurately received, stored, and distributed. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to keep inventory records up to date and to handle shipping and receiving tasks with precision. The Stock Clerk is responsible for physically handling merchandise, which includes lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders to access stock, and operating pallet jacks safely. By organizing stock and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, the Stock Clerk supports overall business operations and customer satisfaction. This role is essential for ensuring that products are available and accessible, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods within the supply chain.   Responsibilities would also to possess the ability to use a I Pad decrement Inventory from storeroom to floors. and deliver goods and services to the desired location.   

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy weights regularly as part of job duties.
  • Experience or ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Capability to stand for long periods during shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of barcode scanning and inventory record keeping.
  • Familiarity with general warehouse operations and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a stock clerk or in a warehouse environment.
  • Certification or training in forklift or pallet jack operation.
  • Experience with computerized inventory management systems.
  • Strong eye-hand coordination and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures in a commercial setting.
