We are actively searching for a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to play a vital role in our continued success. This position focuses on overseeing projects within Division 8 and Division 10. As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of project execution, ensuring that each project is completed on time and within budget.

Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks including estimating, detailing, document management, and overseeing the procurement, shipping, and receiving processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in project management while working closely with seasoned professionals in the field. You will be an integral part of a team that values precision, efficiency, and exceptional project outcomes. We are looking for a candidate who is not only adept in the technical aspects of project management but also shares our commitment to upholding the high standards Basnight & Sons has maintained for 100 years.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and validating project estimates, quotes and purchase orders.
  • Help manage, update, and organize projects in bid tracking software.
  • Efficiently edit and organize job documents.
  • Work with PM to address changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and resolve scope conflicts.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Effectively resolve customer issues and complaints with a proactive approach.
  • Handle incoming calls and provide relevant support.
  • Greet walk-in customers and provide assistance as needed.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years experience in the Doors and hardware, building materials, or related construction industry role.
  • Proficiency in software tools like ComSense and Pro-Tech is preferred.
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  • Experience working with people in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of frames, door, and hardware products, materials, and industry standards.
  • We are seeking candidates who are locally based in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.
