Job description

As a Hardware Engineer I, you will join Honeywell Aerospace's Electrical Hardware Design Team within the Sensing, Guidance, and Navigation Center of Excellence. Here at Honeywell, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of hardware components and systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the hardware design process and contribute to the delivery of reliable and efficient hardware solutions.
You will report directly to our engineering manager and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.
New hires are expected to be on-site 100% M-F for the first 90 days of employment.
In this role, you will impact the development of innovative hardware products that support Honeywell's commitment to improving the quality of life for people around the world through advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the design and development of next-generation hardware systems including schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Support hardware testing and validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications
  • Assist in product line change management and production support.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 0-2 years of experience in hardware design and development or related internships/co-op experience

  • Basic knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
  • Understanding of hardware testing and validation processes
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields

  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design
  • Experience with microcontroller or FPGA-based designs
