Job description

This pivotal Hardscape Crew Lead role centers on leading an on-site installation team to transform residential and commercial outdoor environments into stunning, functional spaces. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the primary objective is to oversee the execution of high-end hardscape projects while ensuring maximum quality, safety, and efficiency. This position offers a direct path to impact both team development and client satisfaction through hands-on leadership and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated field crew in the installation of paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, fire pits, and custom outdoor structures.
  • Direct daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and up to premium craftsmanship standards.
  • Interpret landscape designs, blueprints, and project layouts to accurately execute grading, base preparation, and stone setting.
  • Manage the safe operation and routine maintenance of essential equipment, including skid steers, excavators, and cut-off saws.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients on-site to address questions, provide progress updates, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols on the job site to guarantee a secure, hazard-free environment for the entire crew.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in hardscape installation, specifically working with pavers, retaining walls, steps, and natural stone.
  • Prior leadership experience as a crew leader, foreman, or senior installer within the green industry.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while lifting heavy materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide team members and collaborate with clients.
  • Highly organized mindset with a keen eye for detail, grading precision, and structural integrity.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to safely transport equipment and crews to job sites.
