What is the 120 rule in diving?

The 120 rule in diving, relevant to hard hat divers, states that divers should not exceed 120 minutes of total bottom time at a depth of 100 feet or more without mandatory decompression stops. This guideline helps manage decompression obligations and reduce the risk of decompression sickness during extended or deep dives. Proper training and adherence to dive tables or dive computers are essential for safe diving practices.

How much do hard hat divers make?

Skilled divers with specialized training and certifications in commercial diving can earn higher wages, especially for offshore or hazardous environments.

Can saturation divers earn over $300000 with years of experience?

Saturation divers, including hard hat divers, can potentially earn over $300,000 annually with extensive experience, specialized skills, and working in high-risk environments such as deep-sea construction or oil and gas industries. However, such high earnings are typically achieved through overtime, bonuses, and working in remote locations, and are not guaranteed for all divers.

What is the highest paying diver job?

The highest paying diver jobs are typically offshore commercial diving roles, such as underwater welders or inspection divers, which can pay over $100,000 annually. These positions often require specialized skills, certifications, and work in challenging environments like oil rigs or deep-sea projects.
