Job Summary:
Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud environments and automating infrastructure lifecycles, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of systems.
Responsibilities:
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain complex infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring modularity, scalability, and security
• Cloud Orchestration: Manage cloud resources across multi-environment setups (Dev, Staging, Production) with a focus on cost-optimization and high availability
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Build and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, reliable code deployments
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement proactive monitoring and logging solutions to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks before they impact the user
• Distributed Systems: Apply best practices for distributed architecture, including load balancing, proxy configurations, and caching strategies to ensure system reliability
• Performance Diagnostics: Lead the troubleshooting efforts for system-wide performance issues, identifying root causes in cloud infrastructure or application configuration
Qualifications:
Required:
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong proficiency in writing, managing, and versioning Terraform modules and state files
• Demonstrated experience in building automated deployment workflows (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving system performance issues in distributed environments
• Deep understanding of load balancers, proxies (Nginx/HAProxy), and caching strategies (Redis/Memcached)
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for infrastructure automation and scripting
