About the Role:
Happy Tails Holistic Veterinary Care in Roswell, GA is looking for a passionate and skilled Relief Veterinarian to join our team on a flexible basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice integrative, whole-body medicine in a warm and welcoming environment that truly puts pets first. The ideal candidate has training and experience in veterinary acupuncture and a working knowledge of Chinese herbal therapy, with a strong interest and willingness to continue expanding their skill set in integrative modalities. If you're a compassionate vet looking for variety and purpose in your work, we'd love to meet you!
Candidates should be familiar (with additional training if necessary) in performing routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, dental procedures, and mass removals. Experience with a broader range of surgical procedures—whether soft tissue or more advanced interventions—is highly valued, though mentorship and growth in these areas can be supported. Strong diagnostic, medical, and case management skills are expected. 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform wellness exams, diagnostics, and treatment for small animal patients
  • Provide holistic and conventional veterinary care tailored to each patient's needs
  • Develop and communicate treatment plans clearly to pet owners
  • Administer vaccinations, medications, and therapeutic procedures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using practice management software
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
  • Uphold high standards of patient care and client communication
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestricted Georgia veterinary license 
  • Experience in small animal general practice required
  • Interest or background in holistic, integrative, or alternative veterinary medicine a plus
  • Strong client communication and bedside manner skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a new clinical environment
  • DEA license preferred
  • Willingness to embrace a holistic approach to veterinary care
