This position is based on-site at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical capabilities and limitations in a home care or clinical setting.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercise, mobility training, and manual therapy.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols, adapting them as necessary based on patient response and progress.
• Documentation is critical: maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including treatment progress and outcomes, in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Regularly reassess patients to track improvements, refine goals, and set new therapeutic objectives to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic strategies, self-care techniques, and the proper use of assistive devices to promote independence.
• Engage with healthcare teams to coordinate care and share insights that can aid in better patient outcomes.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by attending workshops and participating in physical therapy associations to stay current with best practices in rehabilitation.

You will engage with children requiring foundational mobility skills, adolescents recovering from sports injuries, adults seeking rehabilitation post-surgery, and older adults dealing with mobility challenges. • A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills suited for diverse patient demographics.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and general computer skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and manage a varied patient load.

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly within a rehabilitation or home care setting, is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with children or specialized populations is a plus.
