Job description

# Technical Outside Sales K-Dyne / Process Instrumentation **Company:** Fluid.iO Sensor + Control Corp. **Manufacturing Location:** Tomball, Texas **Primary Sales Territory:** Houston Ship Channel / Southeast Houston industrial corridor ## The Role We are looking for an experienced, hands-on outside sales professional to grow our locally manufactured K-Dyne product business. The main objective is straightforward: **increase K-Dyne sales volume and help us grow production at our Tomball facility.** ### Primary Products * Pneumatic pressure switches * Pressure pilots and controls * Pneumatic level controls * Mechanical / industrial level instrumentation * Related K-Dyne control products manufactured in Tomball These are primarily industrial products where success comes from developing **repeat business and meaningful unit volume**, not from selling only a few large projects per year. ## Primary Territory The main customer area is the Houston Ship Channel and Southeast Houston industrial corridor, including: * La Porte * Deer Park * Pasadena * Baytown * Channelview * Texas City * League City * Surrounding industrial areas This is primarily a **local field-sales role**. Most customer visits should allow the salesperson to be home in the evening rather than requiring constant overnight travel. ## What We Expect We need someone who is comfortable being in front of customers and developing business. Key responsibilities include: * Prospecting and opening new accounts * Regular customer and plant visits * Developing existing accounts * Identifying pressure, level and control applications * Understanding the customer's application and technical requirements * Following opportunities from first discussion through quotation and order * Building repeat business * Developing OEM and equipment-builder opportunities * Developing MRO and replacement business * Identifying standardization opportunities * Growing unit volume across the territory * Working closely with our inside-sales and technical teams The salesperson should be able to work independently in the field and should not need an engineer at every customer meeting. ## Background We Value Relevant experience may include: * Industrial B2B sales * Technical outside sales * Valves * Pipe and fittings * Pressure controls * Pneumatic controls * Level controls * Instrumentation * Oil & gas production equipment * Industrial hardware * Process equipment * Mechanical products used in plants and production facilities Direct experience with K-Dyne products is **not required**. We are looking for someone with enough technical understanding and curiosity to learn the products quickly and discuss applications credibly with customers. ## Customer Environment Relevant customer contacts may include: * Oil & gas operators * Petrochemical and chemical plants * Refineries * Midstream companies * Equipment manufacturers * Skid builders * Fabricators * MRO organizations * Maintenance departments * Engineering departments * Procurement * Distributors ## Additional Sales Opportunity The salesperson will also have the opportunity to cross-sell our **inline viscosity measurement technology manufactured by our German company**. These are technically more sophisticated process instruments, typically valued above **$10,000 per unit**. Viscosity sales are an attractive additional opportunity, but the immediate priority of this position is growing the K-Dyne business and increasing production volume in Tomball. ## Compensation * Approximately **$85,000 base salary** * **Uncapped commission** based on gross-profit performance * Mileage reimbursement * Health insurance contribution * Dental and vision benefits * Paid holidays * Paid sick leave with accrual * Vacation increasing with tenure * SIMPLE IRA retirement plan The previous salesperson in the territory earned approximately **$150,000 in total compensation last year, plus mileage**, based on actual sales performance. This is not a guaranteed compensation figure. It is intended only to demonstrate that the commission opportunity and earning potential are real. ## About Fluid.iO Fluid.iO is a privately owned, owner-operated industrial company. Our U.S. business grew out of Chase Controls, whose history dates back to 1990. Our German instrumentation business goes back to 1980. We combine the stability and technical experience of an established industrial company with the short decision paths of a smaller organization. We value: * Reliability * Technical quality * Integrity * Direct communication * Long-term customer relationships * Personal responsibility * Teamwork * A hands-on approach We are looking for someone who wants to **build a market, create business and directly contribute to the growth of our U.S. manufacturing operation**.
