Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Electrical Controls Specialist at our Manufacturing Plant in Weyauwega, WI.
Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Electrical Controls Specialist you will support Plant/Corporate Engineering and Production Teams with a focus on electro-mechanical system controls and programming. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on new equipment during start-up/de-bug, integration of new controls components and logic updates, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems at the Weyauwega and Waupaca Plants.

  • Work safely, in a manner that protects and promotes the health and well-being of the individual, fellow employees, and the environment.
  • Assist the Plant Maintenance Team with troubleshooting of production lines and plant auxiliary equipment, including setup/configuration of new controls components, drives, servos, HMI's, Etc.
  • Work with Plant/Corporate Engineering, and Contractors to plan and execute new equipment installation or modification of existing equipment per project requirements and timelines.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain ladder logic in PLC's, and operator interface programs in touch panels.
  • Integrate new hardware/software into existing processes (example: high-speed camera systems).
  • Adapt existing hardware or software to work with new or upgraded software.
  • Develop, modify and maintain servo programs, Scada programs, Device net, Control net, and Ethernet networks.
  • Develop, modify and maintain Digital AC and DC Drive Systems.
  • Design and wire electrical panels for new applications and modification of existing.
  • Assist Technical Manager to identify Capital needs for the Weyauwega and Waupaca Plants.
  • Assist with identifying and maintaining inventory of critical spares for plant electrical/controls components for production lines, and supporting plant process equipment.
  • Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) programs to ensure products meet the requirements for safe packaging of food products, and report food safety concerns to those with authority to take action.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree or Engineering Degree in Electrical Discipline, with focus on Electro-Mechanical System Controls and Ladder Logic Programming
  • Minimum 10+ Years On the Job Experience in Electro-Mechanical Controls or Similar Role
  • NFPA 70E and National Electric Code Training or Equivalent Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Electro-Mechanical systems, AC/DC motors and drives, Servos, PLC's, Temperature and other PID based control systems, Network and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues to root cause including wiring, component, and logic.
  • Knowledge of wiring fundamentals, test equipment, soldering, hand tools, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel, and prioritize work to meet project timelines
  • Self-driven with ability to work individually, or as part of a team
  • Excellent Safety, Behavior, and Attendance Record
