Job description

The Cooler Picker plays a key role in shipping and receiving operations at Kreider Farms. This position is responsible for loading and unloading products, organizing cooler and dry storage areas, preparing customer orders, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

This position is FULL-TIME/DAY SHIFT - Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm (or completion), 37-42 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick and pack customer orders based on order sheets
  • Arrange products on pallets and secure them using stretch wrap and tags
  • Load products into assigned trailers by customer
  • Receive incoming products from suppliers
  • Inspect trailers for cleanliness and proper temperature before loading
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts at the end of each day 
  • Keep cooler and dry storage areas clean and organized
  • Ensure all paperwork is neat, complete, and accurate
  • Assist with general housekeeping tasks
  • Follow all food safety and quality standards
  • Report any safety or food quality concerns immediately to a supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Responsible for own safety and food safety training 
Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Good math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend English 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be organized and dependable
