Job Details:
ATTN Prior Tyson Workers:
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Summary of the Purpose and Objective
The packer position is responsible for screening, packing, and boxing quality products from an assembly line.
Description of Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pack corn chips into the box off a chute repeatedly.
  • Assemble boxes lined with a bag and pack chips.
  • Able to screen the product for defects before packing.
  • Inspect boxes to ensure proper weight. On occasion, lift boxes of products weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Keep work areas clean, adhering to GMP guidelines.
  • Team members must rotate between the different positions on the line.
  • Safely perform work.
  • Abide by all company policies/procedures, written or verbal.
  • Work as a team member toward task accomplishments.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds (with assistance).
  • The Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
  • The Team Member will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.
  • The Team Member will use a touch screen and hand held scanner.

Requirements:
  • Successful candidates may not be allowed to apply for another position for six (6) months unless the position is a promotion
  • If a job posting fails to produce any qualified candidates, the company may assign the position to a qualified probationary Team Member or recruit from the outside.
  • Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply. If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered.
