Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow all quality, health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Operates a variety of equipment (including forklifts, side-loaders, powered and unpowered lifts) to load, unload and move product and materials
  • Operate hand tools in crate/ container building
  • To maintain control of paperwork and related documents and processes those documents in a timely manner.
  • To handle other material handling functions such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
  • To complete in a timely manner the shipment of product to meet the customer's needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Technical Skills:

  • Operation of forklift
  • Hand tools
  • Computer skills

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma with minimum of one year work experience in a shipping and receiving position
  • Internal promotion with minimum technical work experience at manager's discretion

Job Requirements:

  • Observes safety regulations, wears required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to Management.
  • Adheres to all HSE requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Working hours vary based upon shift assigned and may include adjusted and/or lengthened work schedules requiring overtime to ensure timely completion of essential logistic functions.
