Tool Maker
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Shift: 1st Shift
 

We are seeking an experienced Tool Maker to build, modify, troubleshoot, and repair prototype tooling and assembly fixtures for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
  • Build tooling from blueprints, CAD models, hand sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other shop equipment.
  • Fabricate, weld, assemble, and repair tooling and machine components.
  • Troubleshoot and debug tooling during the build process.
  • Machine precision parts and maintain tight tolerances.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Tool Maker, Tool & Die, or prototype tooling experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong manual machining and fabrication skills.
  • Experience with Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, grinders, and MIG welding.
  • Ability to build tooling from prints and "on the fly" without detailed drawings.
  • Tool & Die shop experience is highly preferred.
