Job description

Position Overview: The Security Staff at Halloween Park plays a crucial role in ensuring

the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property within the park premises during

the Halloween season. They are responsible for maintaining a secure environment,

monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and enforcing park policies to ensure a

positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Qualifications and Skills:

Ideal candidates have at least two (2) years Armed OR Law Enforcement OR Military experience

Must possess a Florida D and G License

Currently looking for prior law enforcement or prior military who have current security experience and are D/G licensed. We will consider current D/G officers who do not have law enforcement or military experience on a case by case basis.

This position requires ALL officers to have their own duty gear. This includes:

-Duty belt and weapon

-ASP

-Black Polo with \Security\ on front and back

-Black/Navy Blue BDU pants

-Black boots

Experience:

  • Armed Security OR Law Enforcement OR Military: 2 years (Prefered)

License/Certification:

  • Florida D and G License (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining Security: Monitor the park premises and identify any potential

security risks, including suspicious activities, unauthorized access, or safety

hazards. Take appropriate action to address any identified risks promptly and

efficiently.

2. Crowd Control: Manage crowd flow and ensure orderly conduct among guests,

especially during peak hours or special events. Assist in directing traffic and

maintaining queue lines for attractions or activities to prevent overcrowding and

maintain a safe environment.

3. Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points to verify the validity of tickets or

passes, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted access to the park.

Enforce park policies regarding restricted areas or prohibited items, using polite

and professional communication with guests.

4. Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies,

or disturbances within the park, including medical emergencies, accidents, or

altercations. Coordinate with appropriate authorities, such as park management,

medical personnel, or law enforcement, if necessary, and provide assistance as

required.

5. Surveillance and Monitoring: Utilize CCTV cameras, security systems, and

patrolling techniques to maintain constant surveillance of the park premises.

Identify any potential security breaches, safety hazards, or unusual activities and

take appropriate actions to address them.

6. Guest Assistance: Provide assistance and information to guests, including

directions, park policies, and general inquiries. Act as a point of contact for lost

and found items, ensuring a high level of customer service and a positive guest

experience.

7. Report Writing and Documentation: Prepare accurate and detailed incident

reports, including descriptions of events, actions taken, and any necessary

follow-up measures. Maintain organized records of security-related incidents,

activities, and any relevant information.

8. Training and Compliance: Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated

on security procedures, emergency response protocols, and park policies.

Comply with all relevant legal requirements, such as health and safety

regulations, and ensure adherence to the park's security policies and guidelines.
