The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) for Hair Care & Personal Care supports the development and execution of category brand strategy across all existing and emerging channels, including brochures, flyers, Avon.com, Amazon, TikTok Shop, social commerce, and digital platforms. This role will support innovation development, product launches, campaign execution, and omnichannel go-to-market strategies while ensuring all Representative and Consumer touchpoints are managed to completion.
The ABM will partner cross-functionally with Product Development, R&D, Regulatory, Creative, Operations, Digital, Social, Sales, and external vendors to bring new products and initiatives to market. This role requires a highly organized, trend-driven marketer with a passion for beauty innovation and storytelling.
You will report to the Brand Manager, Personal Care / Hair Care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development and execution of an 18-month rolling innovation calendar across Hair Care and Personal Care categories.
  • Help guide decision-making on portfolio evolution by leveraging trend research, competitive benchmarking, consumer insights, analytics, and product expertise.
  • Support all aspects of product development from concept through commercialization including concept briefs, product positioning, claims, naming, copy development, artwork reviews, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market execution.
  • Identify target audiences and support development of marketing plans across omnichannel touchpoints including brochure, digital, social commerce, Amazon, TikTok Shop, PR, sampling, influencer, and experiential activations.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support successful execution of launches from development through campaign activation.
  • Execute and track projects with a detailed understanding of the NPD (New Product Development) process and critical timelines.
  • Manage trackers, spreadsheets, launch calendars, project timelines, sample submissions, claims documentation, and status reporting for weekly and daily reviews.
  • Interface with external vendors and suppliers to manage submissions, artwork, packaging components, fact sheets, testing, costs, timelines, and inventory needs.
  • Support innovation storytelling through compelling product positioning, claims architecture, ingredient storytelling, trend integration, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner closely with brochure management, What's New, Creative, PR, Social, and Digital teams to support campaign development, creative briefs, turnover meetings, and launch alignment.
  • Analyze campaign, digital, social commerce, and sales performance to extract insights and provide recommendations for future launches and category growth opportunities.
  • Support emerging channel initiatives including Amazon, TikTok Shop, influencer programs, sampling, PR mailers, and experiential activations.
  • Stay closely connected to beauty, wellness, hair care, skincare, and social trends to identify whitespace opportunities and future innovation platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; with 5+ years of progressive and successful experience in product development or marketing
  • Experience marketing in a digital world, (i.e., social media, e-commerce, analytics, on-line) is required
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and cross functional teams is required
  • Proven ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and data-driven decision making
  • Deep understanding of trends and how they relate to our customer
  • Experience in successful partnership with R&D / Supply Chain / Sales organizations to develop innovative products supported by specific and relevant story-telling, then execution is required.
