Your role
We are looking for a highly skilled Accessories Technical Designer with an Industrial Design background to lead technical development across a diverse range of soft and hard accessories-including Bags, Jewelry, Footwear, Hair Accessories, Socks, Scarves, and Hats.
In this role, you will collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, and Vendor partners to translate creative concepts into precise, production-ready technical specification packages and 3D CAD models. You will be responsible for defining construction, fit, tolerance, hardware specifications, and quality standards, ensuring brand consistency and product excellence across all accessory categories.
Your Impact
Technical Design & 3D Modeling
  • Preferred ability to create accurate 3D CAD models, render photorealistic concepts, and build technical turnarounds for hard accessories, jewelry, bag hardware, and trims using Rhino, Matrix, or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Develop comprehensive Tech Packs (including spec sheets, bill of materials, exploded views, hardware callouts, and dimensional tolerances)

  • Bridge soft-goods technical design with hard-goods industrial engineering to evaluate function, ergonomics, aesthetic intent, and durability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
  • Act as a collaborative functional expert and brand guardian for all accessory categories, supporting cross-functional partners in Design, Merchants, Sourcing, QA, and Raw Materials.
  • Partner closely with Senior Desing lead, Design Director and overseas vendors/factories to resolve complex engineering, construction, or manufacturing challenges.

  • Evaluate prototype samples against design intent, leading fitting/review sessions and delivering clear technical callouts via digital images, CAD updates, and detailed comments.

Quality, Standards & Workflow
  • Establish fit, sizing, material, and quality standards to ensure product performance and consistency across all categories.
  • Analyze wear test and quality assurance results to recommend structural, functional, and fit enhancements.

  • Identify potential production, costing, or manufacturing risks early in the development cycle and proactively offer innovative technical solutions.

  • Track seasonal workflows to ensure all development milestones and calendar deadlines are met.

Your Experience
  • Education: Degree in Industrial Design, Accessories Design, Fashion/Apparel Design, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: 5-7 years of industry experience in technical design focusing on accessories (bags, jewelry, footwear, hair accessories, hats, scarves, or socks).

  • 3D CAD Expertise: Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino, Matrix, or similar CAD software) combined with advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hard/soft accessory construction, patternmaking, mold/hardware development, metals/plating, plastics, textiles, and manufacturing machinery.

  • Systems: Preferred hands-on experience with PLM/PDM product management databases.

  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving ability, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with global supply partners.

  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
